I started walking on the road with the ones you had given me as you walked with me and you held my hand. I could always see you beside me.
The road was wide and there was enough space for all of us, but the longer we walked the more narrow it seemed to be and the more I looked around the less people I had around me.
It started to get uncomfortable and I felt like the darkness had crept in all around me, I felt as though I was suffocating.
But then I looked over and you were still beside me, closer than you had been previously. Everyone was gone that had been around me but you had already said that you wouldn't leave me.
As I looked at you I noticed a look of love in your eyes that I didn't see before with the distraction of everyone surrounding me.
When the road got more uncomfortable than I wanted it to be, I didn't realize that you were drawing closer to me, blocking out all of the distractions and helping me to turn to you completely.
When life gets hard and I feel like I'm suffocating and don't understand why things are happening, help me to remember that you're closer than you've ever been and know exactly what I need.
