I Remember

I remember when I made you and set my plan in motion that I wanted for you.

I watched you grow and use the personality that I gave to you.

I watched as you made mistakes, learned from them and I washed them away.

I remember the first time you gave your life to me. If you could’ve only seen the rejoicing in Heaven as you came to me.

I listened to the prayers you prayed, made me the center of your life and walked on the path for you that I had made.

I remember when the devil started pulling at you. I hadn’t ever gone away but yet you drifted farther and farther away.

I watched as he consumed your life with misery. I know how he made you feel, the thoughts in your mind and the agonizing ache.

I remember you sitting on the church pew as I sent them to preach to you. None of it was by mistake. I watched as you turned my hand away.

I’ve been there at every turn, every bump you’ve encountered along your way. There was no need for you to go there. My blood paid the price that day.

I remember you saying no to my grace.

I watched you as you walked over my body, my blood, the prayers and the sacrifice the saints made to see you saved.

When you come to the end of your life and wonder where I had gone, just remember I was there every day waiting on you and you turned me away.
