Sin comes with grieving and no matter how long it’s been you will always try to find something to fill that hole in your heart that Jesus was keeping.
Sin leaves you grieving and thinking about what all you’ve done, what you’ve lost, what you’ve given up for such a great cost.
Sin takes so much of your soul, leaves a gaping hole and the devil just pours more and more pain in.
Sin takes so much away. Happiness isn’t the same, laughter hides away, and joy isn’t a word you’ll be familiar with.
Oh it grieves me knowing how sin was for me. Might’ve been different things but the horribleness of sin is about the same no matter what state you’re in.
It makes my heart ache knowing the heartache it’ll cause, how trapped you’ll be and eventually the hopelessness it’ll bring.
Sin sure isn’t anything to be messing in, but it’s easier to realize that when you’ve made a mess of your life time and time again.
I think that’s when you appreciate the mercy of God more than ever and you can genuinely praise Him for simply just being Him.
God can fill the hole back in, break the walls of the prison and mend your heart right back together again.
He can heal the pain you’re in, help you to deal with the scars from sin and bring you up higher and higher to get closer to him.
He truly is a long suffering God and for that I think it’ll be worth it to serve him.
